Vision Construction recently completed a total master bedroom/bath/custom closet renovation for us and we could not be more pleased with their work. When Ted Berzak first met with us, we were impressed with his enthusiasm and eye for detail, and these qualities never waned during the construction project. Ted has a meticulous approach to his projects, and personally checks every aspect of the work, whether performed by his team or by his excellent subcontractors. Problems that naturally arise along the way are handled promptly and effectively. I can honestly say that in 6 months of dealing with Ted, he never failed to return a phone call or text within 20 minutes. His responsiveness and attention to every detail really make the homeowner feel like they're in good hands throughout the process. A couple of specifics. During the early course of the bidding process (before he was even hired), Ted pointed out an anomaly in our roof line which would frustrate our goal of placing a new skylight above the master bath. He spent several hours with us coming up with alternate solutions and recommendations, one of which we ultimately went with, and now we're really pleased with how great the skylight looks in its new position. Ted didn't have to go the extra mile and help us solve our problem before he had a commitment from us, but he did it anyway. Ted's staff and subcontractors respect him and are exceptionally responsive when he call on them. This is a refreshing change to contractors we've worked with in the past, whose subs don't necessarily make their jobs a priority. This made all the difference when we recently discovered a faulty fitting in our bathtub and the plumbers came to fix the leak before it could do any significant damage to the ceiling below the bath. Ted's contracts are not written hastily or vaguely as some contractors are. We found it comforting to see the specific level of description and detail in every clause of his contract: all proposed work is explained, costs are enumerated clearly, and a payment schedule is provided. Moreover, he sticks to the terms and to his promises. We were never surprised by an unexpected up-charge throughout the course of the project. Overall, our experience was as good as it could possibly be. We are thrilled with the result and we would recommend Vision Construction Services without reservation.
