I’m admittedly late in writing this review, but only because life moved on quickly after the project—and that, in itself, speaks volumes about Ted Berzak and Vision Construction. Ted is the owner of Vision Construction in Mendham, New Jersey, and he handled the full renovation of Robinson Wellness Pharmacy when we relocated to our new space at 27 East Main Street. From the very beginning, Ted stood out as an exceptionally upright, honest, and reliable human being—something that is unfortunately rare in the world of general contracting. Every aspect of the project was handled with complete transparency. His estimates were accurate, his timelines were realistic, and his communication around costs, inspections, and expectations was crystal clear. There were no surprises, no last-minute chaos, and no excuses. In fact, Ted completed the entire project three weeks ahead of schedule, which is almost unheard of in commercial construction. Before starting this renovation, I had heard countless horror stories about general contractors—projects dragging on, inspections delayed to the last minute, budgets ballooning, and owners left in the dark. Naturally, I had some anxiety going into this process. Ted eliminated that stress almost immediately. He and his crew showed up every single day, stayed fully engaged, and walked me through each step of the process with patience and clarity. The level of reassurance and professionalism he provided was truly top-notch. What impressed me most wasn’t just that Ted delivered on everything he promised—it’s that he consistently went above and beyond. He set a standard for what a general contractor should be. Honest. Dependable. Organized. Present. And deeply committed to doing things the right way. Even after the project was completed, Ted has continued to be available—whether it’s for minor fixes, quick questions, or simply giving his professional opinion. That kind of follow-through speaks to his character just as much as his craftsmanship. Out of all the general contractors I’ve worked with over the years, Ted Berzak stands in a category of his own. He’s not only an outstanding contractor but also a great friend and someone I trust completely. If I ever take on another project, there’s no question who I’ll call. If you’re looking for a general contractor who is ethical, reliable, transparent, and truly cares about his work and his clients, I cannot recommend Ted Berzak and Vision Construction highly enough.
